I took advantage of an open day today and got caught up on some personal tasks. I spent close to 8 hours on them and almost hated to stop because I was in a zone. I was as productive as I’ve been in a long time. We’ve all been there.
The question is, how to repeat that, or at least come close to it on days when we have multiple meetings, emails to answer, and phone calls or instant messages that demand our attention?
Are we willing to set aside hours in a day to get that level of productivity more often? Are we willing to leave other people alone for hours so they can get that as well?
