Seat Belts

My college fraternity house mother refused to wear seat belts. Her rationale was that a friend of hers burned up in a car that caught fire because she couldn’t get her seat belt off and get out. People tried to explain that the chances of her being hurt or dying because she wasn’t wearing a seat belt were greater than the chances of her being hurt or dying because she was. She wouldn’t hear it.

How often do we ignore reason?
