I have a hard time keeping focused in the afternoon. I’m usually very productive in the morning, but right after lunch I crash. I’m trying to figure out how to manage it, and I’ve come up with a few things.
First, I acknowledge that I need some down time. After lunch I tend to take it easy for 30 minutes or so. Sometimes I take a nap.
Second, I try to do something active that doesn’t take a lot of brainpower. Today I cleaned out a box and organized some digital clutter.
Third, I try to pay attention to when my energy starts to pick up again. If I’m not careful I can miss that and lose some productive time.
