The good news is that I’m continuing to lose weight. The not so good news is that I think my better diet and exercise habits combined with my same dose of diabetes medications is causing some hypoglycemia episodes. I was having them earlier this year at night, so my doctor reduced my evening meds. Now it’s happening more frequently in the late morning. I know how to deal with it, but it leaves me tired and draggy for the rest of the day, which makes it difficult to do what I need to do.
I may have to go back to my doctor before my next scheduled appointment. Meantime, I’m going to power through my daily tasks. The moral of the story: when you start making lifestyle adjustments, be prepared to make more as a result.
