Since November 2018 I’ve been using the Pick Four Goals Planner published by Seth Godin, based on Zig Ziglar’s work. It’s out of print, but you can find used copies. Get in touch with me if you’re interested and I’ll help you find one.
Here’s a summary of the program.
- You go through a brainstorming exercise to pick four goals you want to focus on over a 12 week period.
- You try to work on each goal every day.
- Every day you record what you did to work on each goal. If you did nothing, then you write “Nothing.”
- At the end of each week you review highlights, what worked, what didn’t work, and what you learned.
It helps (immensely) to have a support group to cheer you on.
As of this writing I’m beginning Week 12 of my first phase of the program. I’ll begin my second phase with four new goals after that. It’s working for me, because I’m working the program. If you have goals you want to achieve and you’re having trouble, it might work for you as well.
